ABOUT
LittleCwtch was created by Rowan in 2015 to bring fun dance classes to the local area she was brought up in, Brecon. Having become a mum herself she felt that Brecon would gain from having sensory classes for little babies and also fun dance classes learning a variety of dance styles for children aged 4+. LittleCwtch continues to thrive in the community and now runs in a number of locations in Wales and boarding into England. Billy helps teach a number of the Jitterbugs classes and it's so lovely for the children to experience a male dance teacher. Stephanie continues to work for LittleCwtch from time to time helping with Freeplay/playgroups which run throughout the school holiday period and also any parties/wedding bookings we may get.
LittleCwtch is growing from strength to strength. 2022 is turning out to be a very exciting year indeed. We continue to offer classes to the local Breconshire community on a Monday and Tuesday as well as working with Brecon and District Mind charity on a weekly basis supporting their mums matter course. This is a huge privilege and we are so happy to be teaming up together to support new mums in the local community.
LittleCwtch are also starting local playgroup set up working with Llangorse primary school on a weekly basis. LittleCwtch will be organising and running the playgroup set up with a number of sensory based resources as well as new soft play equipment.

TEAM

Rowan Kennedy-Brown
Founder, Director and Teacher
From the age of 4, I started ballet and tap classes at Ribbons/Mid Wales Dance Academy in Brecon. I achieved an Intermediate level ballet grade with The Royal Academy of Dance. I completed BA hons Dance Degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University and graduated in 2013. During my time at university, I taught children and adult dance classes with Tiny Toes Ballet and Wonderland Studios. In 2015 I returned to Ribbons dance school as a teacher and teaching assistant for children aged 3-6 years.
I realised that there was little movement, learning development and fun dance classes in the community for babies and children of all ages. This is where LittleCwtch began! I completed a baby sensory and massage course with Tots Play.
I am also a full-time mother to 3 young children and my knowledge and understanding from this has helped form the LittleCwtch approach and lesson plans. I give children aged 6 weeks to 10 years the opportunity to develop movement, sensory, music and social skills whilst having lots of fun!
I have also recently completed my childminding course and am in the process of setting up a childminding company from home as well as offer Littlecwtch classes to the Brecon community. Lots happening but all so exciting.
I also have a DBS check and have recently completed a first aid course and safeguarding children course.

Amy Durham
Childcare Assistant
Hi! I'm Amy and ever since I can remember all I've wanted to do is work with children. I have centered my education around child care and obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Early Years, level 3. I've worked in many different positions with children aged 0-5 years old. I've worked after school clubs, teaching assistant, play assistant, nursery nurse and also supervisor role of a local Nursery. I have experience in a Welsh setting with some Welsh language as well as able to use Makaton with the children. Working with children is not a job but a pleasure for me. I love to help the children thrive and develop and to provide opportunities to learn through play, seeing them smile and grow is just amazing. I'm so excited to become part of the Little Cwtch team and looking forward to having some fun!
